God Is Change

Take arms
for
winter is coming.
Make peace;
we come bearing light.
Take heed
for
the night is a terror.
Take heart;
we have overcome night.

So many salty drama queens, the lot of you.
Ay, the weeping, the wailing, the gnashing of teeth!
Get over yourselves, and rescue the perishing.
Are you perishing?
It only feels as if you are.
Care for the dying.
So, you’re dying?
Scrape off the dirt,
spit on your wounds,
and do the same for someone else.
Arise, my love.
You act as if the sky has never fallen before.

The wind is changed;
We are the storm.
The sun is razed;
Yet we are warm.
The hive is broken:
We are the swarm.
God has spoken:
We are reborn.
